Relocated to Tyler in January 2018 after Retiring from Washington State, only to be faced with the three biggest challenges after 45 years in the same location, find a new Doctor, Dentist, and Mechanic! The first two were accomplished after two months. Last week I finally found what I feel is one of the most honest and friendly mechanics in Tyler! MY truck needed to Still be repaired after two other shops diagnosed it, put parts in and called it " repaired". The same engine code came up two weeks later. It was suggested by someone in my Sunday School class that I take it to Hughes Automotive and talk to Billy. I found him and his staff to be more than friendly, he got my truck in the next morning, gave me a ride home, and my truck was fixed that day with a Different Correct part from that same engine code. Very fair on the price, and fixed the first time! Leaving me to believe "all mechanics are not created equal"

About a year ago, the air conditioner in my 2017 Toyota Corolla went out. I took it into the dealership to get it checked out and they gave me a price I thought was outrageous. They also seemed to ignore my warranty that covered my car for 5 years or 60,000 miles. I’m a poor college student so once my financial aid came in I decided to get my AC fixed. Hughes Automotive was recommended to me by a friend and I was certainly not disappointed. Though I wasn’t able to get the price knocked down (expensive part and procedure) Billy Hughes worked me through every option and even went out of his way to contact Toyota to check on their diagnosis to see if they could get my warranty to cover it. That was what sold me on giving a 5 star review. He could have easily told me it would be over $1,000 to repair it. Instead he selflessly worked me through it and put a solid profit on the line in order to help a young customer.

I just recently started working with Hughes Automotive, and I'm glad I did because so far I've had an excellent experience with great customer service and easy appointment scheduling. They really listen, and take the time to answer questions as best as they can.

My niece & I were at Hughes Automotive shortly after they opened one-day last week. Mr. Billy was very informative & talked to me where I could understand what he needed to do so he could make sure the work was done properly & the issue corrected. Well, long story short, my niece's car was finished before noon & running AWESOME I might add. The price was very reasonable too. If I ever have issues with my car or my niece's car, we will be going to Hughes Automotive again.

Wife and I from out of town with a water hose coming off the radiator. Drive one mile, fill with water over and over. We stopped by a local business and inquired about an automotive repair shop. We were told about Hughes Auto. They were right! Fast friendly and we were on our way back to Mineola with no leak in ten minutes. GOD bless.
